The Optimal Performance Institute (approved by the State of California) is looking for 2 individuals who want to work approximately 15 hours per week in our offices while pursuing a degree (bachelor's, masters, or doctorate) in mind body health and fitness, sports psychology, or business (the Entrepreneur MBA program).
The ideal candidate will have a passion for their subject area and be able to assistant with office work and seminar promotions. An EMBA candidate will work directly with our school in order to implement a business development process. The person(s) must be willing to work in a setting that is poised for growth. This candidate(s) will have excellent organizational skills.

3 Lectureships In Sports Science

The University of Leeds Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences (ULISES) is seeking to make appointments to 3 new Lectureships.
These posts offer exciting opportunities for teaching and research in the rapidly expanding area of study of Sport and Exercise Sciences within the Faculty of Biological Sciences and the University.
The posts have been specifically created to strengthen the teaching and develop research in Sports Science utilizing general and molecular techniques. Applicants will also be expected to undertake some tutorial and administrative tasks.
Interest and expertise in exercise and health, an applied focus to sports psychology, simulation and modeling of human performance or exercise physiology in relation to the health sciences would be an advantage. Other related areas of research consistent with faculty research will also be considered.
Candidates should have experience of tutoring, demonstrating or lecturing at university level and a record of publication in nationally/internationally recognized journals in Sport and Exercise Sciences on an individual basis and in collaboration with others and evidence of success in attracting research funding from external sources would also be an advantage.

Mendelson Center for Sport, Character & Culture
Internship Available

There is an immediate opening for a one-year full-time internship with the Mendelson Center for Sport, Character & Culture at the University of Notre Dame. The intern will assist with all aspects of the Centerís work, including conference planning, research data collection, workshops, library research, and office assistance. We are seeking an energetic team-player who shares our mission and wants to play an important role in the development of a young and growing center. The internship carries a stipend of $12,000 plus standard university benefits.
Mendelson Center research focuses on the relationship between sport participation and moral/character development, and on coaching efficacy for psychosocial development. We are also working on a number of programmatic initiatives in the area of coaching education as it relates to social and psychological development. Applicants with an interest and background in sport psychology, moral development, and/or character education are encouraged to apply. Positive Coaching Alliance
Contract Trainers

Positive Coaching Alliance (www.positivecoach.org) is currently hiring contract trainers to deliver our 2-hour trainings to organizations nationwide. The specific areas we are focusing on right now and have a local office in are: SF Bay Area, Los Angeles, Portland, Chicago, and D.C. We are based at Stanford University. Workshops are held primarily in evenings and on weekends due to the youth sports audience involved (coaches, parents, and organization leadership). PCA has a fantastic program, teaching coaches, parents and organization leaders how to treat kids in a positive manner in order to build character while usually maximizing their potential.
Qualifications involve 5+ years coaching experience at the High School or above level (exceptions made for outstanding candidates), plus stand-up, public speaking experience (a must).
